Eisley

Last Friday I went to the House of Blues again. This time to see Eisley, although they weren't the headlining band. If you haven't heard of Eisley than you should definitely familiarize yourself with them, especially since they will (hopefully) have a new album coming out soon.

Two other bands opened before them. One was called Moving Mountains, I think. They were just a bunch of boys up there rocking out. They played a lot of music but none of the songs seemed to have lyrics, haha. I must say they were entertaining.

The second band was Moneen. This was not my type of band. Clearly this band is falling apart at the seems. Members have quit and other new members had to be flown in to replace them. The band didn't even have their own equipment, it was borrowed from Moving Mountains. I think I would classify this as a screamo band. One song consisted of nothing but "Die! Die! Die!" over music.

I have been waiting for Eisley to come up here to the Northeast for some time now, finally my wish is granted. They certainly didn't let me down, playing all my faves. They recently released a new EP called Fire Kite. I was not impressed, didn't buy anything from it. Although when they played the new stuff on stage I found myself thinking this stuff is good. Live performances can sometimes do that for you.

A small amusing anecdote, when they sang Come Clean something went wrong. I'm not sure what happened but the song ended very abruptly. They joked with the audience that this was the new ending to the song.
