The summer is winding down and its time to head back to school. I'm actually ready to go back. I like those classes in college, not like some pointless high school classes, that shall remain nameless. Plus there's so much freedom with living in college. For most people, it is the first time that people live on their own, away from their families. I am going to soak up the freedom.
Taking a break from all the packing, Miss Moon and I went to a local fair. The Spencer Fair is pretty popular around here during labor day. We had a good time. There were all sorts of cute little animals to look at, including little chicks that we were able to hold. Miss Moon wanted nothing to do with the chicks but I couldn't resist. They were so cute. They had trapeze artists and karaoke. It was a grand time.
The highlight of the evening was the demolition derby. It was packed. We got there two hours early and it had already started to fill up. We had to save seats for Miss Moon's family too. I always feel bad when people are looking for seats and you have to telll them "sorry these are taken." It feels so rude and insensitive. The derby did not disappoint, complete with fires and plenty of good hits. This was a great way to start of the final weekend before school.
