If we thought we had been lost before, we were sorely mistaken. It was such a nice day out that Miss Moon and I decided to try another hiking trip. We are getting really into hiking; maybe we should join the hiking club, haha.
We picked a random state park to go to, Conway State Park. I went on map quest to search for directions and printed them out. They seemed pretty straightforward. This is where the saying "objects aren't always quite what they seem" comes into play.
The trip started out pretty easy, the roads coming up as directed. As we got closer though, things got a little more difficult. Somehow we ended up on private property on a dirt road. Although I would not even call this a road; more like "stairs" as Miss Moon called it. There were unavoidable pot holes everywhere. It felt more like I was guiding a ship than a car.
Eventually we realized that we wouldn't find the park and I turned around. At least I know my new car can go off roading, haha. As you know from past posts, Miss Moon and I have had no luck in finding wildlife on our trips. Today someone was smiling down upon us. We saw some ducks in a pretty pond and then . . .
as I was driving along I thought I saw this huge dog in the road, boy was I wrong. It was a moose! I have never seen a moose before, but there she was, just trotting across the road. I tried to grab my camera but she was gone by the time I got it. Oh well maybe next time.
