Of course vacations come to an end and we were on our way home. We stopped in Jamestown, NY, which is the hometown of lucille ball, better known as lucy ricardo on the "I Love Lucy" series. They had some very nice museums showcasing such items as lucy's gold mercedes and replicas of the sets. The gift shops had many interesting items which just had to come home with me.
This is the museum that showcases lucy's early career and memoribilia.
The desilu playhouse houses set replicas and facts about the popular studio.
This mural brings to life one of lucy's more famous episodes: "Lucy Does a TV Commercial"
This is probably one of the more recognizeable scenes from "Job Switching"
This house is in Jamestown and was where lucille ball was born.
Lucy later moved a short distance away to Celeron NY to live with her grandparents.
