Adventures in the Windy City

Finally something to post about. I have traveled to Indiana again, this time with my mother, to visit family. I went up to Chicago with my dad. On the first night we went to the building formerly known as the Sears Tower. They have added a new feature that includes a completely glass enclosed ledge. You are suspended 103 stories above the ground with the ability to see through the floor beneath you. I loved it, my dad was not as thrilled.

The next day was a busy one. We went to the Museum of Science and Industry. This is a really cool place. It has so many things to do and see. They have a Harry Potter exhibit there that I really wanted to see but other people were equally as excited and it was pretty much sold out. Oh well the rest of the museum was just as good. They even had this little hatchery with baby chicks.

They did have one Harry Potter piece on display. For those of you familiar with Harry Potter you will recognize the flying car from the Chamber of Secrets.

After the museum we were going to see a show, although the word show may be a bit of a stretch. We saw Tony n' Tina's Wedding. This was certainly entertaining but almost like a real wedding. You have to dress up and you sit in an actual pew, complete with stained glass as if you were in a real church. They had very stereotypical characters. The bride and groom come from Italian families. There is the mother who wants everything her way and the father who has the very young arm candy. There is the groom's cousin out of rehab that formerly was with the bride. There was even a reception. This felt just like a real wedding. I wonder if sometimes people feel that it is real. This may have been more entertaining in a larger group.
This picture was jsut funny. My dad took a picture of himself while I was alseep. Lets just say I don't think he knew how to use the camera.
