This One's for You Miss Moon

This one's for you Miss Moon. I found those videos that we were talking about last night. It took some searching but I found them.

Here's that Jack's Mannequin one, The Mixed Tape

Here's that video that is of the car crash that's backwards. It wasn't The Fray unfortunately but it's still a good video. It's actually The Scientist by Coldplay. We were talking about coldplay the other day so here's your chance to listen to one of their songs.

Here's the video to Dark Blue by Jack's Mannequin. You'll have to tell me if you like it.

oh and one more thing on mtv they have all the music videos for jack's mannequin. Click here

Married and Lost

Last night Miss Moon and I were once again out on the town. Even though it was raining we went to the drive-in. The Proposal and Land of the Lost were playing. Both were excellent. The Proposal was so cute. I love it when the preview doesn't show all the funny parts of a movie. There was more to it. Sandra Bullock really can play a romantic comedy well. I'm not too familiar with Ryan Reynolds but he was also hilarious. Land of the Lost was actually better than I thought it would be. It was pretty entertaining. I'm a fan of Will Ferrell but Miss Moon isn't too fond of him. She did enjoy the movie though, even if she did fall alseep near the end.

The Fray and Jack's Mannequin!!!!!

Last night Miss Moon and I went to a concert. Seems we are becomming concert buffs. The Fray and Jack's Mannequin were playing at the Comcast Center. It was in Mansfield, MA, a little south of Boston. As you may or may not know it has been nothing but rain here in New England. We had never been to the Comcast Center but I knew it was outdoors. It didn't really occur to me that we might get wet until we were in the car. Luckily I had brought a jacket but Miss Moon only had a sweatshirt. I found a towel (from when we went to the beach) and a rain poncho in my emergency kit. Even armed with this artillery we discovered that we were close enough to the stage to be under the roof. We didn't get wet at all.

Richard Swift (someone we had never heard of) opened for them. We were not too fond of the music, it was more like we could take it or leave it.

The band I know Miss Moon had been waiting for, Jack's Mannequin of course, came out next. They opened with one of my favorite songs, Dark Blue. We were so excited. They stuck to a lot of their older hits, but threw in some new ones like Spinning and of course, The Resolution. Miss Moon was starting to get ansy when they hadn't played her favorite song, The Mixed Tape. She was so happy when they did though.

When the Fray finally came on stage (they set up the stage for forty-five minutes) the place went crazy. Let me tell you they did not disappoint. Then again its The Fray so why would they. They played everything that I wanted to hear. I'm not the biggest fan of The Fray by any means which means I didn't recognize all of the songs. The songs I didn't know were really good though. On top of that they played that Kanye West cover, Heartless. I didn't think they would play it but they did during the encore. Overall a fantastic time, even with the horrible rain.
Can't really see anything in this picture I just thought it looked cool.

Beach Buddies

It was the first nice day in a while today. Miss Moon and I decided to go to the beach. The only beach that I know of around here that is decent is Hampton Beach in New Hampshire. They have a really nice boardwalk. We got to the beach around noon and we quickly discovered that Miss Moon was not wearing the right shoes. As we were walking toward the beach her feet began to hurt. Luckily she didn't get any blisters. We set up towels and chairs pretty close to the water line. The water was freezing but it was nice to get our feet wet. Now I know that it may sound childish but we wanted to build a sandcastle. Unfortunately we didn't bring any stuff to build one. Miss Moon used the really wet sand underneath to build little shapes and figures in the sand. She was really worried about getting burned by the sun. She kept reapplying the suntan lotion. I laughed, saying she was putting on way too much. Although she was the one who got the last laugh. I was the one who got burned. My legs and arms got a little burned, not too bad though. We walked the boardwalk a little bit then went home. Overall a good use of a nice day and a day off.

Is This Place On Fire?

Haven't written in a while because they've been working me to the bone at Petsmart. Today on one of my days off I went to Providence. They have a really huge mall there, plus there is a Popeyes. My mom loves it there and hadn't been to one in a while. After we ate we were going to shop a little. One problem, someone had pulled the fire alarm. All the stores had closed so we had to leave. Oh well, we got to see a little bit of the mall. On the plus side when I got home I discovered that my DVD, We Can Be Heroes, came from Australia. Its stars Chris Lilley, who also did Summer Heights High. Should definitely be entertaining.

Cake Boss

Ever watched this new show on TLC, Cake Boss? It was surprisingly good. I'm not usually into those cooking shows, but this one comes complete with drama.

Plus they make incredible cakes and baked goods. Carlo's bakery is located in hoboken new jersey, run by a real Italian family. They are constantly bickering and yelling, which makes it really entertaining.

They make really beautiful cakes. One featured cake was for a local firemen crew. The cake came complete with adorable firemen made from gum paste and working sirens and lights. The fire even had smoke coming out of it. I bet these cakes taste amazing too.

One things for sure, I'm going to have to go to hoboken now.

Drive On In

Yesterday, on one of the first nights off I've had in a while, Miss Moon and I went to the drive-in. This is the best way to watch a movie in my opinion. I had never been to a drive-in until I moved to Massachusetts. They just don't have those in the Midwest. They really are the best way to watch a movie, you can relax in your own car, plus its cheaper. Bring all the snacks you want from home. We got there really early, it hadn't even opened yet. Oh well, we got a really good spot in the middle.

Up was the first movie that played. It was really funny and so cute. The dog, Doug, is adorable. Star Trek played afterword. This is the third time I have seen this movie and it gets better and better. The actors keep getting better looking.
